Dr. Sharon McCleave
Sharon has worked as a college professor for over twenty years, teaching students in the fields of anatomy, physiology, pathology, lifespan development, social inclusion, and mental health. Her doctoral research focused on the social determinants of health, health education, and medical sociology.
As a graduate student in community music, her research focused on grassroots community music initiatives and music engagement for mental wellbeing. In tandem with teaching the health sciences, Sharon is a community music facilitator and a multi-instrumentalist, using her musical and healthcare skills to teach a variety of meditation practices in combination with musical exploration.
