Service Description

Music has the capacity to provide mental, spiritual, and physical comfort, and it is used as a therapeutic tool to enhance wellbeing in general. Music impacts neural and hormonal activity in the body, solidifies social connections, enhances physical performance, and facilitates the management of strong or difficult emotions. Music in its many forms and applications is a healing force. This course has been designed to introduce you to several ways of incorporating music into your journey of transformative self-care and deepening somatic awareness. You will experience music by listening, playing, interpreting, and moving to different sounds. Each lesson will be taught by a team of musicians from around the world, skilled in both music performance and facilitating musical activities. No instruments are required for this program; we’ll provide you with many suggestions on how to participate with things you have on hand in your home. All we ask you to have a notebook or journal, and a willingness to explore what music has to offer for your body, mind, and soul. The program consists of seven, 1 1/2-hour group, offered in the virtual setting. Include 8 sessions every Sundays, 10 am to 11.30 am EST Sept. 18 and 25    Oct. 2, 16, 23 and 30 Nov. 6 and 13     Sliding scale available. Contact us for details.
